Do you sell reproductions?
Absolutely not. Every item we sell is guaranteed to be original.

When will my order be shipped?

Thursday is our shipping day. If your order is placed and paid for by Saturday at midnight, it will go out on Thursday.

What happens if my order arrives damaged?
As a record of their condition, all items and packages are photographed prior to shipping. If you receive a damaged item or order, do NOT discard the packaging, as you will need it to file a claim with the carrier.

I've just discovered I already have an item and would like to return my order for a refund.
Because every item is illustrated on our site, we urge you to make sure the item(s) you are buying are not duplicates (that is, unless that’s your intention) as we will not issue refunds for that reason.

Do you charge transaction fees for Paypal and credit card payments?
No.

I'm looking for specific items, and I don't see them listed on your online store; can you help?
Well, we can try. We very well may have what you're looking for, but it just hasn't been listed yet. Please fill out the message form on the contact page, and be very specific. If we have it, we'll let you know. If we don't, we'll be happy to refer you to other reputable dealers.

Can people contact you for information, photographs, and research materials?
At The Steamship Exchange, we understand that we are part of a community, and are committed in helping to educate people on the history of ocean liners. Part of that commitment is to lend a hand whenever we can. As long as proper credit is given, and certain guidelines are met, we are more than willing to assist known authors and researchers with their projects. Over the years, hundreds of items from our collection have appeared in books, magazines, newspapers, and in many online projects. We cannot, however, provide material for genealogy and/or school projects. Additionally, material within this site may not be ‘lifted’ and re-posted on other websites, including social media. This includes, but is not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Ebay, Pinterest, etc. Instead, we encourage you to provide a link to an item or items, which will send viewers to our site.
